Learn Beginner Salsa Club Style Dance Moves
http://addicted2salsa.com
Hope you are enjoying our dance podcast. This episode will basically cover some simple dance moves that are basically universal — that everyone who does salsa knows how to perform. It is interesting to note that some of the more complicated salsa dancing moves actually end up being variations of these combos.

Hey APersaud this has really helped thank you. I enjoy all of these videos; it’s my goal to have learned all this stuff by the end of this summer so that I won’t run out of things to do in the salsa clubs here in Boston next fall!

OK THEN!!! from …
OK THEN!!! from your surname, it occurred to me that u maybe had guyanese roots. But i dismissed the thought. Very encouraging to hear that, though. Bet u got realtives back here, too. i like that you not only teach the move, but also give tips on the relevant hand, leg, and body co-ordiantion that make the move successful (probably heard THAT before). However, nothing beats having an instructor there IN PERSON to correct u when u’re messing up. Nontheless, i keep looking at podcasts.THANK YOU

gosh!!! i wish …
gosh!!! i wish there were guys like anthony in my country. i’m from guyana, south america where there are no salsa schools (few ballroom dance schools though). i am the only one in my dance school who has developed an interest in learning salsa, but, due to the above-mentioned scenario, the closest i’ve come to actually having a salsa tutor is this and other utube pod casts. so i just have to make do and parctice with my partner.

hi apersaud.
I have been searching for the name of a Latin/salsa move.
Its mostly seen in romantic movies, you know when you hold the woman allmost touching the floor, and then you kiss her.? What do you call it ? And can you perform it ?

Sorry for the …
Sorry for the confusion everyone. It is a mistake in the explanation of the video. There IS NO cha-cha step. The correct step is: ladies perform a side break (3 counts) with hip styling – to salsa timing.
Hope this helps!

There is no cha-cha-cha in Salsa dancing. It’s 1,2,3,(pause on 4),5,6,7,(pause on 8).
No cha-cha steps.

It’s a 8 count …
It’s a 8 count dance. 4 & 8 are pauses that are not counted out loud.

it works. my …
it works. my partner nails it perfectly everytime we do it and it looks great. you have to start the cha-cha on the 3rd and 7th counts like this: 1-2-cha cha cha, 5-6-cha cha cha. takes a little practice if you used to just stopping when you get to the 4th an 8th counts but if you can break that habbit then it’s really no problem

Is nice that this …
Is nice that this guy is posting combos for beginners, but he shouldn’t be teaching. The lead, the feet, body posture are terrible. I’m sorry. In youtube you can find lot better instructional videos from Giovanni (Clave dos tres), Alfonso Caldera, Diego Sanchez, etc…
