During the first breakdown after the opening basic turn, Melanie’s footwork is misleading. Going into the first Copa, you can see her take 4 steps on her 1,2,3. This might be confusing for beginners. She does it correctly in the last example toward the end of the video.

I’m looking for a good type of dance to use at my upcoming Homecoming. Would I be able to solo salsa dance if I learned to salsa dance? Salsa dancing seems like a dance where both people must know the steps. I want to learn to dance where either I can dance on my own, or my partner doesn’t have to know the dance to get into it.
